April Newsletter

A bit short......

Apologies, this newsletter is a little shorter than usual. It's a
very busy time for us, as right now we're preparing for Stitch &
Craft 2010 at Olympia in a week's time. By the time you receive
this, I'm pretty sure the show will be over, but we will have gone
straight from Olympia to Florida, for a family wedding. And yes,
that meant for the first time in a good few years I stitched a
design produced by someone else! I wanted to produce a lovely piece
of cross stitch for the happy couple, but now it's done I'm happily
back onto my 1921 Fiat Design. It's going well, not too long to go.
I shall take my stitching to Florida, though I doubt I'll get much
done as it's not exactly going to be a beach holiday! Stitching on a
long relaxing holiday is a delight, even if it's just for half an
hour while the kids are in the pool. Or, if your purse is still a
bit recession-hit, have another stay-cation and stitch at home!

If you have ordered from us during late March/early April, please
accept my apologies for any delay in sending out products. We do
intend to send out orders as quickly as we can on our return, and
will send an e-mail detailing any delay.

Top Ten 2009 Designs

In February we featured an article on what to
stitch. As we have over 600 designs, it's very
difficult to know which one to choose. It's easy if
you have a car or bike in mind, or you know who
you're going to be stitching for, but otherwise, I'm
here to provide you with some inspiration, using our
top ten countdown from last year, of all of our
designs put together, caricatures, other transport
designs and nature / PETZ designs.

At number 10 is a real eye catcher at any
stitching show, the Eddie Stobart Lorry Caricature.

Number 9 is the first in a number of VW designs in
our top ten, the Volkswagen Beetle.
Number 8 is
another Volkwagen, the VW Camper Van, Bay window
design.
VWs were popular last year - another one
is at number 7 - the smaller Volkwagen Camper Van
(split screen).
Number 6 is an absolute classic -
the Mini.
Number 5 is our best selling PETZ
design, our scuba diving goldfish.
Number 4 is
another VW, but this time a caricature of the split
screen van.
The last VW in the countdown comes in
at number 3, the detailed bay window design.

Runner up at number 2 is the Subaru Impreza.......

And number one, and lets hope he reaches the same
dizzy heights in the new Formula 1 season just
starting, it's our Lewis Hamilton caricature design.

Good Luck Lewis!
